You and your guests are invited to the Private View of the results from the second year of Raising the Bar which will be opened by Bella Kerr, Programme Director Foundation Art and Design SMUWTSD
Raising the Bar is an arts education programme that offers additional opportunities to gifted and talented AS and A Level Art and Design students, to develop their creative practice and knowledge of the visual and applied arts. Six Master Classes for students from the Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot regions took place in Swansea Metropolitan UWTSD and Mission Gallery, using their specialist equipment over the last academic year. Classes included Drawing, Fashion Design, Animation, Photography, Conceptual Arts Practice and Glass, with a selection of established artists and lecturers. The exhibition provides an overview of everything that the participants have achieved over the last 9 months, revealing a high standard of work and commitment from those involved.
