Gemma Copp in conversation with Lucy Donald, Learning & Particpation Officer at Mission Gallery. Gemma will discuss her current new video work produced for Ephemeral Coast exhibition at Mission Gallery, along with an overview of her practice to date. This will be a rare opportunity to hear one of Wales most interesting young artists discuss and show her work in this unique overview.

About | Gemma Copp

Gemma Copp is a Welsh artist, who currently resides in Swansea, her city of birth. Graduating with a BA in Fine Art from Swansea Metropolitan University in 2006, Copp went on to complete an MA in Contemporary Dialogues in 2009 at the same University. Copp has recently taken part in the Glynn Vivian's Artist in Residence programme. Her awards include being Welsh Artist of the Year in 2012. Copp has recently shown work in the Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh, and at the Mannheim Film Festival, where she received a special commendation from the judges. Copp predominately works with film and installation and her work raises a flux of visceral emotions relating to identity and basic human emotions and concerns.
