Join Swansea based artist Melissa Rodrigues for an exciting two part workshop over two consecutive Saturdays that explores cultural identity. Melissa will discuss her art practice and lead you in figure drawing, stencil design and working with fabric paints to create an artwork on wax print fabric.
During session one Melissa will present her practice, hold conversations on cultural identity and guide you to develop figure drawings for the stencil image.
During session two you will cut your stencils and create your printed pieces on fabric.
Suitable for all abilities, including the with more experience. To complete your piece you will need to be available for both two hour sessions.
The workshops will be limited to 8 participants. Book early to avoid disappointment.
We will be following a contact trace procedure (using the details provided on your consent forms) if any individuals are showing signs of COVID symptoms all participants to be made aware and the sessions are likely to be cancelled as a precaution.
Due to the climate we are opperating in, the classes may be cancelled/postponed at short notice. We will however give you as much notice as we can should this be necessary.
