“Commercial animation has become a technical exercise with no soul; through my work I want to raise the bar, and give glimpses to an alternate animated world. Animated worlds where happy endings aren't restricted to a smile and people are allowed to be intelligent. Meaning is better than sparkle, mystery is better than childishness.

Drawing inspires me to write in new ways, and develop ideas unique to the medium of animation. I work from a solid foundation in fine art practice, but always set out to create original and memorable work.

My career has always followed a love of ideas.”

t.o.m was created at University of Wales, Newport in 2006 winning 28 International Film Awards. It launched the career of Daniel Gray and co-director Tom Brown.

Commissions have since included; ‘London Bee’ (2011) for Mayor of London; Emerald Atlas (2011) for Random House Publishing; NIKE promotional videos (2010-2012) for NIKE; ‘Holocaust and Me’ (2011) for BBC; Baileys Biscotti (2011) for Baileys among others.
