Marian Haf is a fine art Painting graduate who first started printmaking in 2011. Marian’s work can be varied in subject matter, but often have a common narrative of nostalgia, memories, objects and life in rural west wales.
Collagraphs have become a firm favourite, as she feels a quality akin to a charcoal drawing, a tactility, a freedom in the mark making. Marian also enjoys blind embossing her paper with wood cuts before printing which adds a subtle second narrative to the work, inviting a closer inspection.
