Buddug Humphreys is based in East London and is originally from Snowdonia in Wales. Buddug works with enamels on metal to produce brooch pins, necklaces, decorative plates and wall hangings. Working as a jewellery designer/maker, Buddug takes inspiration from a wide range of sources but all of her pieces communicate on a personal level through the use of inspiring quotes – to encourage and to reassure. She uses drawing as a tool to create her work and translates them directly into metal artwork. Combining her pieces with broken jewellery to make something new, she recalls the history of jewellery as a precious gift or a token of love given at an important time in our lives.
