Quiet Session Self PortraitureChildren's Workshop

28 October - 28 October 2020

2pm-2:45pm | £2 | Suitable for ages 7+

**Postponed**

This is a quieter version of our Self Portraiture children's workshop.

We are now offering Quiet Sessions after all our children’s workshops. These 45 minute activities are designed to accommodate any participants with autism or learning difficulties. They feature a personalised and flexible version of the morning’s workshop, as well as reduced lighting and sound in the gallery. The groups are smaller with parents welcome to stay and enjoy these less crowded sessions.

As parents are required to stay during these activities, unfortunately we can accomodate only one household per session. With no more than 5 participants in total.

We would also kindly ask you to obey current welsh government guidelines, and only book if you are living in the Swansea region.

The Workshop:

All children will have their own individual desk and materials. These materials and desks are thoroughly cleaned before and after each class, and clearly marked 2m apart.

Leaders & staff will wear face masks.

Students will be provided with a welcome pack which contains a laminated set of “code of conduct”, own individual apron with hand sanitiser and pack of tissues.

The children will not need to wear masks, but they will be made available as an option.

We will be following a contact trace procedure (using the details you provide on entering the gallery) if any individuals are showing signs of COVID symptoms all participants to be made aware and the sessions are likely to be cancelled as a precaution.

Due to the climate we are opperating in, the classes may be cancelled/postponed at short notice. We will however give you as much notice as we can should this be necessary.

We would ask if you or your child is feeling even slightly unwell to stay at home. Just let us know your child will not be attending the days session.

Our Education team have undertaken awareness training about autism, and aim to provide any extra help to those who need it in a relaxed, fun filled atmosphere.
