Watercolour Painting with Lucy DonaldWorkshop

Lucy Donald is currently exhibiting her woodcut prints and watercolour paintings in the Mission Gallery Print Wall. Her work explores family heirlooms, bits and pieces of family China, some Cambrian Pottery and some kitch travel souvenirs that sit side by side on the Welsh dresser.
Her work is also currently being exhibited in the “50fifty” exhibition at Elysium Gallery, College St Swansea and in the “Welsh Contemporary” exhibition in The Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven and will tour to Mall Gallery, London in November.
The workshop will start with experimenting with different brushes, paper, colour mixing and effects including resists, and creating textures.
Participants will explore drawing with light and shade to create a 3D optical illusion in black, white and grey and then look at using colour.
We ask that you bring your own objects to draw from ( we will have some here) we will use your objects to create a larger group still life to work from, using all the skills and techniques we have learnt.

Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. This is done using Eventbrite.
