10.30am – 3.30pm | £25 (Discount available for Friends of Mission Gallery and previous workshop attendees) | Suitable for ages 16+
This workshop offers an intense introductory day to experimental textile design, led by Swansea College of Art tutor Anna Lewis and assisted by Surface Pattern Design degree students within the department. You will be shown some inspiring textile designs to start the day and then be taken through a series of experimental pattern and motif drawing development processes, followed by stencil design and open screen printing where you will be able to colour and print your samples. Feel free to bring specific fabrics to work with if desired. All materials will be provided otherwise.

I ddechrau’r diwrnod, bydd rhai dyluniadau tecstilau ysbrydoledig yn cael eu dangos i chi ac wedyn fe’ch arweinir drwy gyfres o brosesau datblygu arbrofol o arlunio patrymau a motiffau i’w dilyn gan ddylunio stensiliau a sgrin-brintio agored lle gallwch liwio a phrintio’ch samplau. Croeso i chi ddod â defnyddiau penodol i weithio â nhw os dymunwch. Darperir yr holl ddeunyddiau fel arall.
