Create your own bespoke Persian wall hanging with artist Sahar Saki!
Sahar is an award-winning international artist and designer from Iran, based in Cardiff. Often inspired by her Persian background, her work has been awarded by UNESCO, Business Wales, and Arts Council of Wales.
In this workshop you will be introduced to Persian calligraphy. After becoming familiar with the alphabet and materials, Sahar would help you to design your beautiful Persian wall hanging. Taking inspiration from Iranian patterns and letters, and you will then transfer your design onto canvas fabric. This can be displayed as a hanging or framed depending on preference.
There is no need to have previous knowledge about the Persian language.
We will be following a contact trace procedure. If any individuals are showing signs of COVID symptoms all participants to be made aware and the sessions are likely to be cancelled as a precaution.
Due to the climate we are opperating in, the classes may be cancelled/postponed at short notice. We will however give you as much notice as we can should this be necessary.
