Kitchen Table PrintmakingCourse

15 June - 16 June 2019

11am – 4pm | £75 (Discount available for Friends of Mission Gallery and previous workshop attendees) | Suitable for ages 16+

Course Dates: 15th & 16th June

Whether you want to learn a new skill, print onto fabric, create pictures or cards to give to family and friends, come along and discover some great printmaking techniques. This course will experiment with different ideas for printmaking that can be achieved at home without the need for specialist equipment. Mono print, press print, collagraph, Gum Arabic, Gelli Plate and screen printing are some of the printing methods available to explore. Materials are provided – however it is recommended that participants bring along various types of papers or a sketchbook to print onto.

Karen Teal has been an Art and Textiles teacher for 32 years. Originally from North Wales, she has gained extensive experience teaching in China and Switzerland, recently returning home to Wales. Karen is passionate about all forms of art and textiles and encourages students to develop skills, concepts, understanding and creativity with confidence.  Within her teaching, Karen stimulates participation, exploration of feelings and knowledge, all expressed with skill and a sense of commitment. Her teaching provokes a heightened personal confidence and independence, all underpinned by a passion for creativity.
