Introduction to Jewellery Making Adult Workshop

This workshop is led by Anna Lewis and takes place at: UWTSD Alex Design Exchange, 34 Alexandra Road, Swansea SA1 5DU
Introduction to Jewellery Making will explore the basic set up of a jewellery workshop and familiarise participants with the current contemporary jewellery scene. Using this as inspiration, design techniques and imagery development will be used to cut into sheet metal. Each participant will practice techniques in hand piercing metal, filing and finishing, drilling and assembling. By the end of the workshop everyone will have designed and produced a metal pendant. Imagery that can be developed can be brought along as inspiration, this can be floral, animals, lettering, geometric, vintage etc. The workshop will take part in the brand new Jewellery workshops at our new Design Crafts Studio in ALEX Building.
