Alison Moger is a textile artist who’s work explores traditional stitch and print, often drawing inspiration from her own experience growing up in the South Wales valleys and community life. Alison has exhibited nationally and internationally, as is also a member of The Makers Guild in Wales.

Working with Alison you will transform synthetic fabric into beautiful images of your own design using natural objects such as ferns, grasses, leaves, feathers, old lace and cut paper. This is an environmentally friendly form of dyeing fabric and can be manipulated and stitched into once you have created your fabric design.

All materials for this workshop will be provided, but you are welcome to bring along your own materials. However fabric must be white or a light shade and be synthetic (man made) for a good print result.

You are also encouraged to bring any natural objects such as feathers, grasses dried leaves or flowers and open weave fabric, lace, and paper doyleys to add to your design.

We will be following a contact trace procedure (using the details provided on your consent forms) if any individuals are showing signs of COVID symptoms all participants to be made aware and the sessions are likely to be cancelled as a precaution.

Due to the climate we are opperating in, the classes may be cancelled/postponed at short notice. We will however give you as much notice as we can should this be necessary.
