A ferry replaced by a bridge

The Ballachulish ferry ceased to operate and was permanently replaced by a bridge during the winter of 1975. The ferry previously linked the villages of South Ballachulish in Argyll and North Ballachulish in Inverness-shire. These villages were previously separated by either a road journey of 17 miles or a ferry trip. They are now separated by 3 miles of road via the bridge. The photographic research presented here investigates if this news is important for photography.
