Sarah JonesLife’s Landscapes

14 May - 25 June 2022

My work comes from a place of inner feelings and emotions where I experiment with the therapeutic aspects or art. Drawing from my own experience of trauma as a parent of a child with cancer, I use the process of art making to communicate what I find difficult to verbalise. I value all materials' preciousness, vulnerability and sensitivity through mark making, texture and intimate human touch.

‘Life’s Landscapes’ is about creating linear timelines, about observing moments; past present and future, dark and light, raw and soft, imprisonment and release. These linear timeline compositions become vistas, mapping emotional landscapes of memory and anticipation into a visual narrative.
