Judith ReesMaker in Focus

08 September - 11 October 2015

Judith Rees uses the material of clay to realise her minimalist sculptures. She enjoys the 'taking' of packaging from supermarkets as a free item. Casting the box into a solid mould and re-figurating it into a wall mounted sculpture. No longer a disposable container.

The work encourages the viewer to examine what we throw away. This new body of work, created for Mission Gallery, extends the artist's Post Pop project in a sombre new direction.
