Islands of ImaginationNigel Meager

15 March - 16 March 2005

The children invented an imaginary island and were divided into ‘communities’ or ‘settlements’, towns or villages.  The Children invented characteristics for each community, brainstorming questions such as;

What does your community do?

What do you eat?

What do you wear?

You have at least one festival each year; What do you celebrate? How do you celebrate?

What do you do in your spare time? How do you relax?

What is the biggest problem for your community?

The Island was about the size of Wales and they could invent its climate and natural characteristics and it could be called what ever they chose.
