Collective MisunderstandingsPrivate View 6-8pm

17 January - 17 January 2015

Following the Symposium taking place in the day, the official opening of ATB's 'Collective Misunderstandings' will be at 6pm.

On the occasion of the anniversary of Thomas More's 'Utopia' from 1515, the Copenhagen-based group ATB will critically examine the history of utopian thinking as a method of open process rather than a fixed place. Using this method, which places community at its core, they will be present at or around the Mission Gallery throughout the exhibition period in order to highlight the necessity of physical presence in everyday utopias.

ATB is a multidisciplinary collective with as diverse origins as Germany, Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, Chile and Wales and with a common interest in collectivity, urban space, performance, the politics of art and its emancipatory potential.
