Artist Bio Micki Schloessingk and Eve Gnoyke

Micki has a pottery studio and gallery in Cheriton, Gower. She makes wood fired salt glazed pots.

Eve is a potter living and working at Bridge Pottery in Gower under the mentorship of Micki. Her time studying at Clay College allowed her to develop her language in clay and her interest in salt-glazing.

Outline

Clay Play- a workshop led by Micki Schloessingk and Eve Gnoyke - an introduction to hand building techniques- having fun exploring clay, no experience needed, all abilities welcome.

This workshop will introduce you to hand building skills such as rolling slabs, pinching, and coiling.

We will put these techniques to use by making small pots and objects, such as buttons, brooches, magnets, incense dishes, and more.

If you are interested in making more or having a go on the wheel please have a look at websitehttps://www.mickischloessingk.co.uk/bridge-studios/classes

for more information on taster sessions and weekly classes.

High quality artist led workshops are at the heart of what we do here at Mission Gallery. Every ticket purchase contributes towards our Outreach Programme and supports fair compensation for our talented artists.

Due to our venue’s capacity, spaces are limited. If you book onto one of our workshops we would ask you to honour your commitment to attend.

We aim for our workshops to be as accessible as possible, but would ask that you make a donation on the day if you can. Please consider contributing if you are able to support the future workshop and education programmes at Mission Gallery.
