Rosie Harman The Maker & The Wall

Rosie’s practice moves between 2D and 3D, from sketchbook drawings and painted pots to sculpture and wall-based ceramics. The work presented at Mission Gallery comes after a period of intensive drawing at the Royal Drawing School. The experience prompted a re-evaluation of her relationship with drawing on paper and drawing with clay, finding excitement in blurring the lines between the two. The wall becomes a sketchbook page for ceramic forms, creating ambiguous narratives that invite the viewer to fill in the blanks with their own imagination.
