Embrace the festive season with our Christmas Hamper & Gift Basket Workshop! In this hands-on session, you'll learn to weave a full-sized, open-top willow basket—perfect for creating a personalised Christmas hamper or gift basket. The tradition of giving hampers at Christmas dates back to Victorian times and has since become a cherished symbol of generosity across the UK, often filled with seasonal foodie treats and gifts.

Using traditional willow weaving techniques with a few modern touches, you’ll learn how to stake up from a wooden base, build up the using waling and slewing techniques, and finish with a decorative border. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a beautiful, functional basket—perfect to give as a gift (or keep for yourself!).

All materials and tools will be provided. No previous weaving experience is necessary, making this workshop suitable for beginners.

*Please note that weaving can be hard on the hands and requires dexterity.
