Artist Bio

Since graduating in 2023 from UWTSD in 3D Design Crafts, Hannah has focused on delivering ceramic workshops in Swansea and the wider community, with business support from The King’s Trust and Business Wales.

She has delivered workshops for the NPT council, in community centres and galleries, providing access to smaller communities to make with clay. Her workshops aim to promote creativity and positive well-being, encouraging participants to unleash their inner artist.

Outline

During this workshop, we will handbuild pumpkins and ghosts with clay using the pinch pot technique. You will then have the opportunity to further personalise your creations with underglazes (paints for clay).

The first half of the workshop will be spent making the pumpkins, and the second half you will be making ghosts, with a half an hour break between.

The pieces will be fired and glazed by Hannah, which will be ready to collect from the gallery at a later date

No prior experience is needed and all materials will be included.

High quality artist led workshops are at the heart of what we do here at Mission Gallery. Every ticket purchase contributes towards our Outreach Programme and supports fair compensation for our talented artists.

Due to our venue’s capacity, spaces are limited. If you book onto one of our workshops we would ask you to honour your commitment to attend.

We aim for our workshops to be as accessible as possible, but would ask that you make a donation on the day if you can. Please consider contributing if you are able to support the future workshop and education programmes at Mission Gallery.

For further information please contact Megan Leigh, Learning & Engagement Coordinator, on 01792 652016 or email megan@missiongallery.co.uk
