Reflections is a series of single figure paintings exploring the experience of a sitting; linking the work of a hairdresser and the work of a painter.
It features the work of Hannah Parker, a recent Fine Art graduate of Aberystwyth University and a front of house volunteer at Mission Gallery.
The idea for the exhibition came from her final year degree work where she invited models into her studio to sit for her, and felt the pressure to impress. The paintings reflect the customer’s experience, and can be seen as depicting them looking into a mirror in the salon.
