Open Call | Perfectly Strange...
The idea
Have you ever started telling a story that at first sounded completely normal only to become more fantastical as it unfolds?
In this exhibition, our aim is to bring together artists and makers that are inspired by stories and myths. Whether rooted in Welsh tradition or from lands far beyond - anything that captures the imagination; that is perfectly strange.
The opportunity
Are you an artist or maker based in Wales, inspired by stories and/or myths? Would you like an opportunity to show and sell your work?
Yn berffaith rhyfedd / Perfectly strange... will be a curated exhibition, showcasing the work of invited artists alongside a curated selection of artists and makers from our open call. It will feature work by new and established artists and makers; a perfect opportunity to enjoy and invest in our creative community. Most works shown will be for sale and available to take away on the day. A programme of performance, workshops and activities will also take place alongside the exhibition, creating a safe space to pursue and enjoy creative practice; for all.
Exhibition dates: 30 November 2024 - 11 January 2025
How to apply?
We welcome interest from every discipline; as long as your work is inspired by stories and/or myths. Artists and makers at all stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.
Work will be sold on a commission basis of 40% plus VAT.
We’ll take care of the set-up and selling and, once the exhibition concludes, we’ll pack everything away and arrange payment for you.
