Reggie's Roller PalaceOlivia Brown

19 November - 08 January 2012

A Ruthin Craft Centre Exhibition

Reggie’s Roller Palace is Olivia Brown’s latest installation.

A vintage take on the modern cult of celebrity alongside the branding and mass marketing that surrounds it, all seen through the eyes of Reggie (a rat) and over 100 handmade canine spectators! Reggie will also have a wide array of souvenirs in his shop…

Olivia graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999 with a first class honours degree in Contemporary Craft. She established her business in 2000 and has become widely known for her ceramic sculptures and site specific installations, the first of these being ‘Elvis the Whippet’s Salon’, a life-size vintage hairdresser’s parlour. In 2010 celebrating 10 years of being in business 'Reggie's Roller Palace' was commissioned by Stockport Art Gallery.
