In and out of the bookSwansea Metropolitan University Surface Pattern Design Students

Undergraduates of Swansea Metropolitan University will be exhibiting their work during a two-week exhibition at Swansea's Mission Gallery. The second and third year Surface Pattern Design students will be showing pieces based around the exhibition's theme of ‘In and Out of the Book'. Exciting arrays of materials and techniques have been applied to a broad range of individual project themes, conveying the scope of the course and its students' abilities.
A great source of help for this project has come from Cardiff- based Book Designer, Jay Young who will also open the show. For many students, this will be their first time exhibiting their work in such a reputable public space, providing the exciting opportunity for the public to access contemporary art and designs from forward thinking individuals.
Students exhibiting in ‘In and Out of the Book' will also be selling their unique, hand- made Valentines cards at the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
