‘The occurrence of two or more things coming together’

Convergence is a group exhibition which features work from three disciplines of Swansea Metropolitan's Art and Design Department: Fine Art, Surface Pattern and Photography. Three artists from each of these disciplines in 2nd year have been selected for this exhibition, each at a point of transition, discovery and definition in their education and artistic careers.

Exploration and experimentation are at the forefront of arts evolving practice and it is what excites and drives us. Through constantly shifting methods, mediums and outcomes, these students collectively experiment with the boundaries of arts evolving practice in this curated exhibition.

Each artist responds to the theme of Convergence from the perspective of their discipline offering connected comprehension and dynamic display of their creative individuality.
