John Paul Evans is a Welsh-born photographic artist and academic who now lives in Devon, England. His work explores the polemics of gender representation in photography.

 

His exhibition What is lost... what has been explores the autoethnographic process of weaving one’s personal history into a visual dialogue, analysing ideas of belonging/otherness, mourning and melancholia in relation to the photographic family album.
