Brief for Commission: Illustrative Map

Copr Bay District & Maritime Quarter

Mission Gallery invites expressions of interest from freelance artists in the Swansea Bay Region ie. Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire to create an illustrative map of the Copr Bay District and Maritime Quarter.  This project's aim is to help inspire residents and visitors of Swansea Bay to visit the Copr Bay District and Maritime Quarter to discover Mission Gallery amongst other cultural venues in this area.

The selected artist will be given a list of arts and culture venues, small businesses, car parks and street names to include in their map. The final design will be printed as a physical map for visitors at Mission Gallery to take away with them and use. The map will also be available on our website to download as a PDF.

The map can be hand-drawn using any medium, or a combination of mediums, or drawn digitally, as long as the design is able to be scanned and replicated as a printed and PDF version. The artist can choose whether to draw the map from a birds-eye-view perspective, or a 3D perspective.
