Matthew BushMaker in Focus

10 May - 19 June 2016

Chaotic forms are made using fractal geometry incorporated with elegant ceramic pieces and are made using 3D printed technology.

These luxurious pieces convey the idea that materials can be made precious by the process used to create them and how additive manufacturing can be used to create objects of luxury and everyday use. The incorporation of handmade ceramic pieces brings order and familiarity to the chaotic forms, blending together new technology and traditional craft. Matthew’s designs demonstrate and question current technology whilst also emphasising the value of craft and material exploration.

Matthew is a recent Ceramics graduate from the Cardiff School of Art & Design.
