The influential and renowned poet Nigel Jenkins died tragically young and suddenly in January 2014.
In the intimate setting of Mission Gallery, amongst a wall hung assemblage alluding to the poet’s work, Angharad Jenkins, his daughter, will move around the space between drawing, text and readings by Iwan Bala, whilst reading and playing music evoked by each piece and by her memories of her father.
A discovering and re-discovering of her father’s life and thoughts.

This year marks the centenary of Swansea’s prodigal son, Dylan Thomas’, birth. ‘Lyrical One’ is a collaborative project organised by Mission Gallery and Snug Projects which will take place throughout October 2014. It will comprise of a number of workshop and forum-based gatherings of both students, amateur and professional poets and musicians.
