Mission Gallery

Mission Gallery was formally St Nicholas Church, designed by Benjamin Bucknall and built in 1886, a non-denominational place of worship for seamen visiting the port of Swansea.

In 1977 the building became Swansea Arts Workshop, an artist’s initiative took over the lease and refurbished the interior in to an exhibition and workshop space, managed and run by artists and volunteers.  The gallery became known as Mission Gallery in 1998.
